The Challenge
The rear of the country house had a single cramped paved area on one level, with no provision for outdoor dining or entertaining and water pooling against the house wall.
Our Solution
We created a four-level sandstone entertaining terrace with a built-in outdoor kitchen and fire pit, set on solid foundations with falls and drainage that move water safely away from the building.
Drainage Details
- Surface falls set away from the property on every level
- Linear channel drainage between terrace levels
- Full mortar bed and primer to prevent slab movement and water ingress
- Soakaway connection sized for the 180 m² terrace
